On March 13, at the invitation of Professor Liu Bin of the School of Machinery and Engineering, Panagiotis Theodorakis, Assistant Professor of the Polish Academy of Sciences (Institute of Physics), came to our school to give lectures to teachers and students. The content of this lecture is "Introduction to Molecular Dynamics Simulation and Examples". More than 100 teachers, undergraduates and master's degree students attended the symposium.
Panagiotis Theodorakis lectured on "Molecular Dynamics Simulation" for students, and explained it to teachers and students from three aspects: fluid dynamics, particle dynamics and heat transfer. Dr. Panagiotis Theodorakis then answered questions from teachers and students in detail and had an in-depth exchange.
Introduction to Panagiotis Theodorakis:
Panagiotis Theodorakis is currently an Assistant Professor at the Polish Academy of Sciences (Institute of Physics) in Warsaw (Poland). He received his doctorate in Greece in 2008 and studied the effect of molecular structures on the compatibility of polymer mixtures through coarse-grained simulations.
After getting a doctorate, He has carried out coarse grain / medium in Germany (Max Planck Polymer Institute and Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz), Austria (University of Vienna and Vienna University of Technology) and the United Kingdom (Imperial College London).Postdoctoral research on scale simulation and fluid dynamics.
He was also awarded the Max Planck and Mary Skodovska Curie scholarships. Using molecular and mesoscale computer simulation methods, he has contributed to solving different problems in the fields of soft matter, polymers and statistical physics, biophysics and fluid physics.
He led Poland's national project and is currently the Polish lead researcher for the Thermasmart EU H2020 consortium, which consists of 19 partners from 12 different countries.
